As this is my first blog, I’m still learning my way around creating content, engaging with followers, and everyday maintenance. Because of this, I was thinking about the importance of setting goals, and how this applies specifically to the birth of this blog.
It all started with an idea. Most things do, really. My friends encouraged me to follow through, and so I set a goal: Login to WordPress and create a new website. Once that goal was met, I set a new one: Design a homepage. This, of course, was also completed. I became bolder and more confident, so I began to set multi-level goals. Things like, establishing an aesthetic, finishing the website, and deciding on a direction for the blog.
With each new goal that was accomplished, I felt more at ease with trying something new.
This brings me to the main reason for writing this post. I have a few goals I’d like to establish for maintaining this blog:
- Post once per week (there will likely be additional posts as the need arises…like this one, for example)
- Be genuine
- Engage with comments
I’m enjoying this new challenge and exercise in goal setting, and I hope to keep this blog running smoothly!
