Nature is a Healing Space

On September 30, 2020, I decided to do something I would not ordinarily do. I had been toying with the idea of trying new things, and I happened to be in the mood for a small adventure.

As is the case with most people, the places that are local are often the least explored. We find greater joy and excitement in visiting faraway lands, or at a minimum, places that are several miles from home. I decided that I wanted to see my home through the eyes of a tourist.

I drive past this small rest area every day, and I have known about it for decades, but I never once actually stopped to visit it. That is, until now.

The lush greenery was even more picturesque up close, and the sound of the rushing water was more soothing than any prerecorded nature soundtrack that money can buy.

The only drawback to this impromptu excursion was being alone in the forest, on the side of the road, in dwindling daylight. Despite the various horror movie scenarios running through my mind, I had a wonderful time.

Overall, trying something new is definitely worth it!

Below is a gallery of some of the photos I took.
